As part of its exhibition Portraits and Fashion – Quebec Photographers Beyond Borders curated by Thierry-Maxime Loriot, the McCord Stewart Museum has commissioned Paprika to design an art book featuring prints by 17 internationally renowned Quebec photographers. The book highlights artistic, editorial and commercial photography, as well as their personal practice. The concept plays with the very borders of the book, placing their names and bibliographical notes at the edges of the pages. Each photographer is assigned a specific colour to highlight their work. The cover features a mosaic of faces and evokes this community of photographers. Sober, elegant lineal typography complements this contemporary composition.
