Paprika signs the new edition of the Week-end à l’Est Festival, dedicated to the vitality of Bucharest, this year’s guest city. The Parisian festival celebrates the cultural richness of a country where East meets West, blending Ottoman heritage, Roman influences, and contemporary Roma voices. To capture this vibrant spirit, the studio collaborated with Romanian illustrator Saddo, whose colorful and incisive universe reflects the raw energy of his hometown. His artwork, centered on the Palace of the Parliament, portrays a Bucharest that is passionate, complex, and in constant transformation. The typographic approach, in harmony with the illustrative style, relies on bold, luminous colors that convey the joy, warmth, and creative chaos of today’s Romania. This edition marks a turning point for Week-end à l’Est, with a strengthened visual identity across all touchpoints—enhancing its recognition and the public’s enthusiasm for this singular celebration of Eastern European art and thought.
