Cidrerie 32 MCGOWAN offers local customers and friends a resolutely festive raw cider in small, exclusive batches. A niche production, echoing the generosity of its land, and giving a voice to the particularly clement nature of the year that is drawing to a close. The owners, fond of those lovely evenings spent together under the stars, have created four ciders with distinct notes: McIntosh, Big Apple, Hey Juice and Lobo, to grace summer’s big tables with ease. A series of bespoke illustrations featuring iconic apple objects and representations were created for all the ranges. From one label to the next, these games of linguistic association and image are dared to be humorous and daring, with appreciably simple and eloquent illustrations by Gérard Dubois.
McIntosh, that unadulterated natural sparkle, presents the label for the first-generation computer that made the revolution. Hey Juice offers a balanced cuvée: a classic that’s gone down in history like that old record you never tire of. Lobo, whose juices are blended and dosed with lime blossom honey, evokes Magritte, while Big Apple, slow-macerated with natural yeast and dosed with maple syrup, evokes the inescapable city. A label program that spares no distraction and presents a sober, elegant canvas, giving full rein to the black illustrations, finished off with the apple in red ink.
