This year, the I Musici de Montréal Chamber Orchestra is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Founded in 1983 by the late cellist and conductor Yuri Turovsky and now under the artistic direction of conductor Jean-François Rivest, the orchestra wanted this campaign to reflect its audience’s renewed interest in the brilliant performance of great classics. With its sparkling colours, vintage palette and bold arrangements, and an inescapable relevance in our contemporaneity, this campaign is one of celebration.
String instruments are alluded to in the background and evoke both movement and rhythm. Like a stave, the typographic grid welcomes an atypical grotesque typeface, bringing value to the entire campaign. A soaring lyricism of sound waves carries us away on a sensory journey of musical appreciation.
