Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal develops unique dance and contemporary ballet performances. This internationally renowned company commissioned Paprika to design a visual identify and a graphic platform for its 40th anniversary.
For the occasion, we created the acronym XL, which represents the number 40 in Latin and highlights the company’s importance. We also used pictures of dancers whose body positions form the number forty. All those graphic elements were applied to a set of promotional pieces in a florescent orange and platinum palette.
We also build a massive 3-D structure using the acronym XL. This structure served as a canvas for projections featuring various productions of the dance company. We also placed a screen in the lower part of the letter L.
