Flammarion Québec / Ainsi cuisinaient les belles-sœurs

Flammarion Québec is a branch of Flammarion (based in Paris) which well immersed in Quebec realities. Flammarion Québec commissioned Paprika to design the book “Ainsi cuisinaient les belles-sœurs dans l’œuvre de Michel Tremblay”. As soon as his career starts, Michel Tremblay sets his “belles-soeurs” in the kitchen and pays tribute to Quebec’s “feeding” figures, thus leading us through a journey of Quebec’s culinary heritage.

The important iconography taken from manuals, magazines, and archive photos alike offers a delicious contrast from the writer’s words. We gave the work a modern finish which nonetheless takes into account fifty years of culinary history.
